Staycation - Part I
Hi friends!
I hope you all had a fantastic holiday weekend! My little family and I had a wonderful one. It was a 4 day weekend for my hardworking hubby, which was quite a treat! While it would have been fun to head to the beach or stay at a hotel a few nights, we decided to make it a "Staycation Weekend". And boy, did we have fun! We played until we could play no more. Spent a day at home working around the house. And then played some more :)
Running. And then SLIDING!!! Over. And over. And over. Love her enthusiasm!
Next we rode the carousel. Always a hit! See that handsome guy in the middle? He's all mine :) And the little one is his mini-me.
She was a bit unsure at first. The first picture is right when it lurched to a start, but then she warmed up :)
(Find the tutorial for her hat here)
And now for Miss O's FAVORITE thing to do. Ever. Get wet!! She is such a water bug.
It felt so good to spend quality time together as a family this weekend, with no major agenda, just enjoying each other's company.
Yesterday my husband and I also celebrated 7 years of marriage. The best 7 years of my life! Better than I could have ever imagined.
Amazon Prime FINALLY got Season 3 of Downton Abbey. SO. I HAD to watch a bit of that. So in addition to the playing hard, I've been being lazy hard too :)
I got in some AMAZING fabric shopping! Joann had a huge sale this weekend and I had to take advantage of it!! I bought some of the softest most beautiful knit ever. (I have plans to put it to good use for the Flip This Pattern sew-along. I'm so excited!) And so much beautiful linen, oh the things I will be sewing!!
Since we were having so much fun staycationing, I didn't get a whole lot of sewing done, but I do have a fun week in store for you!
I will be guest posting on Thursday over at Once Upon A Sewing Machine.
I'll be doing a round up of the shorts I've made my boy with my go-to shorts pattern.
Sharing Part 2 of our Staycation. (My favorite day!)
And sharing a favorite recipe. (I make it practically once a week!)
Stay tuned for the fun week ahead! Thanks so much for hanging out with me!
