Kim has worked so hard to get this pattern just right, and I absolutely love the final version. Just as soon as we're done having all these snow days and the chaos of having the whole family home dies down, I plan to sew up several more because it is just what my closet is lacking!

I sewed up a version before this one in a lightweight tissue knit and haven't got around to hemming it yet so it's still sitting in my sewing area waiting for that double needle. The reason that one lays neglected, is because I couldn't stop picturing this pattern with a few tweaks and in this white sturdy knit that has been patiently waiting in my stash for just. the. right. pattern.

The Montlake Tee was just that pattern. The marriage of pattern and fabric was perfection and it's my new favorite closet STAPLE.

The Lane Raglan. It has a huge and faithful following. I'm now firmly in line with the masses to sing it's praises! And for good reason. It's comfy, CUTE!, a quick sew, great fitting, a wardrobe must-have, easy enough for a beginner, cute, who doesn't love a raglan??, suitable for many different stretch fabrics, the pattern includes several different options and there are lots of hack tutorials available if you search, oh, and cute.

Hello, and welcome, Modkid readers! When I was invited to participate in this tour, I couldn't say no. Because, holiday sewing!! Honestly, I always have grand intentions to sew holiday looks for my kids and myself but rarely actually accomplish it... So what better way to get something done, then to agree to a deadline!? Ha.

Ok, so on to what I did actually sew! I chose the Dakota pattern and lengthened it into a dreamy flannely comfy dress. I've had this look in my head for a little while, so I was so excited to finally cross it off the list.

What little boy doesn't want to be a knight?? For mine though, I think it was more about the sword and shield than the actual costume, haha.

Hi all! Popping in for a minute today to share this costume I just finished up for my girlie. 

Let me start by saying, this idea was not original to me. I found it here, and thought it was so adorable that I had to upsize it for my 4 year old!

This is a super easy diy, with minimal sewing if you buy a premade hat as well, which would make it quick enough you could finish it up yet tonight!

Supplies needed:

Red Shirt

Black Pants

Fitted hood/hat (or the All In One Hooded Scarf pattern)

Pompoms

Fabric Glue

Black & Gray Felt

Hi Momiform Makeover readers!! I'm so happy you stopped by today and can't wait to gab about the things I made! :)

As a stay-at-home-mom to 3 young kids, it seems my momiform can always use improvement. During my pregnancy and directly after the birth of my third, something clicked for me. I realized that the level of my mood and motivation had a direct link to the way I was dressed and to the level of cray-cray, aka, messes in my house. Having struggled with some baby blues during the first year of my second child's life, I knew I had to make an effort in order for that not to happen again with my third (who is now 6 months old).

A few simple things that I now do on a daily basis have vastly helped to improve my mood and especially my productivity.

#1 - which ties heavily into this post - is to GET DRESSED. It doesn't matter too much what, just not. those. pajamas. But I still get more done and feel more motivated in non-yoga pants.

#2 - Make the bed. Seriously. It blows my mind how much better I feel when I walk into my room during the day and see my bed made.

#3 - Clean the kitchen every night before going to bed. It is like a breath of fresh air to walk into a clean kitchen at 6am.

So to get us started, here is a peek at what my momiform has looked like this summer, I am only 6 months postpartum, my clothes still don't fit exactly like they should, so it's not great by any means. BUT. It's not workout shorts and tees ;) I didn't want to spend a ton of money for my changing body this summer, so my everyday wardrobe consisted of Old Navy shorts and Target tees.
