Recess Raglan #3 - KCW - Day 1//Part 2
This is Part 2 of Day 1. Dinner time, grocery shopping, bath time and darkness all happened to this 3rd Recess Raglan last night. :) So I had to snap these photos this morning once the sun was up again for some decent light.
My ever so willing model ahem was put to work this morning too. Modeled clothes are just so much cuter than on the hanger, amiright. But this IS KCW and time is precious, so we'll be seeing more hanger photos I'm sure :)
This fabulous version of the Recess Raglan was inspired by this pin which leads you to the ever so awesome Trine at Groovy Baby and Mama. I can never be as cool as her, but I sure can be inspired by her :)
I changed the pattern up just a bit by chopping some length off and adding a waistband instead of hemming. I also added piping to the raglan seams. And the coolest part? The tiny little leather triangle at the neckline. E spotted it and was totally impressed by the triangle. I'm digging that it's leather. Leather is cool. And this is the first teeny tiny bit I used from a remnant that I won from The Leather Hide Store. Yes. That's right. I won a giveaway!! Pretty sure that is the most awesome thing I've ever won! That and the kitchen sink faucet my husband won as a door prize, are among the best things we've ever scored...

DeleteGreat job! Hey, I've been trying to figure out how to incorporate piping into my knitwear. Did you use knit piping or the good old woven stuff? Thanks!

ReplyDeleteThank you Kerry! Sometimes I would rather just take the lazy route and make a plain version, but details add so much and I always LOVE it when I take the time! :) So glad you liked it!!
