Handmade Summer Series Part Four: Brother/Sister Spring Clothing Set

I hope you're getting some SIMPLE ideas on how to create a handmade summer wardrobe for your own kiddos from this series! It CAN be easy and inexpensive :)

I had a chance to make a spring clothing set for a friend's children a while back. I love how it all turned out!

For the boy set I used the Made tutorial for Kid Shorts. I absolutely love that pattern! I've made several pairs of these shorts and they have always turned out great. And in a cute gray seersucker it makes the perfect spring pair of shorts for a little boy.

The shirt is a plain tee from Old Navy that I appliqued his initial to, using fusible webbing. I chose to use the same polka dot fabric that I used for the dress to tie it together.

For the dress I used this pattern that I purchased from Etsy. I've made 2 of these dresses so far, one in a size 18-24 mo, and this one in a size 6. They both turned out absolutely precious. And I am IN LOVE with these fabrics that I found at Joann!!! (Again, from the Quilter's Showcase collection when it was on sale for $2.50/yd!)

Thanks for stopping by!
